NECK LIFT
WHAT IS A NECK LIFT?
A neck lift, or lower rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that improves visible signs of aging in the lower face, jawline and neck. Signs of aging addressed include:
- Excess fat and skin in the lower face and chin resulting in a double chin
- Loose, saggy neck skin
- Abnormal muscle bands in the neck
This can be performed as a standalone procedure, or in conjunction with a facelift, which addresses the upper and midface.
WHAT A NECK LIFT CANNOT DO
A neck lift cannot change your fundamental appearance and cannot stop the aging process.
A neck lift can only be performed surgically; non-surgical rejuvenation treatments cannot achieve the same lasting results, but may help delay the time at which a neck lift becomes appropriate and complement the results of surgery.
